Valve has revealed brand new DLC for Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 via GameTrailers TV last night. Instead of the DLC being for just one of the games, “The Sacrifice” will be released for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Awesome!
Set before the events in “The Passing”, players will get to find out in “The Sacrifice” how one of the four original Left 4 Dead survivors meet their undoubtedly gruesome end. This will also make it the first time that players will be able to play as the original four survivors in Left 4 Dead 2.
In addition to that, Valve is also throwing in the “No Mercy” campaign into the Left 4 Dead 2 version of the DLC, allowing players to play through the first chapter of the original campaign with some of the new additions from Left 4 Dead 2.
Valve also mentioned in the interview with Geoff Keighley that there would be some more DLC ahead for Left 4 Dead 2, which is great news to me. Maybe we’ll eventually get the campaign from the first game in Left 4 Dead 2?
The DLC will be free on both PC and Mac, but it’ll cost you on the Xbox 360. Curse you, Microsoft!
