EA has released a new trailer for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit today, promoting the “Autolog” social networking feature from the game. You’re probably just here to see cars drive real fast, though — and that’s definitely what you’ll see above.
If you’re left wondering exactly what the Autolog feature is, here it is in a nutshell: the Autolog feature is a dynamic social networking system that creates challenges for you and your friends based on their activity; things such as beating your friend’s best score, and so on.
While the Autolog feature actually sounds pretty cool, the thing I’m excited about the most is the fact that Criterion is developing it. I love me some Burnout, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit actually looks like it’ll play very similarly to the Burnout games, but with a touch of Need for Speed. No complaints here.
If you’re wondering what the title of the post is about, you probably haven’t watched the video yet. Scroll back up and watch, you!
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit releases on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo Wii on November 16 in the US, November 19 in the UK.
