Update: Added the reveal trailer below.
The saga of perpetual delays for Duke Nukem Forever is finally coming to a close; Gearbox announced by way of Game Informer that the Duke will arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this coming May 3 in North America, May 6 elsewhere. Yeah, guys, this is really happening.
Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K Games, had this to say to Game Informer: “May 3, 2011 marks Duke’s return as he unleashes his brash and brutally honest wit on the world. His return is going to be epic and one that will make video gaming history!”
At this point, I don’t think I even care if Duke Nukem Forever is any good or not. The fact that it’s actually coming out is enough to positively blow my mind. The game being decent would just be icing on the cake.
