Crackdown 2 getting Toy Box DLC, is both free and paid

If you’re looking for something to renew your interest in Crackdown 2, perhaps this news of upcoming Crackdown 2 DLC will do it for you.

The free version of the “Toy Box” DLC includes a number of goodies to spice up your game. The first is the Keys to the City mode from the first game, which includes God mode, infinite ammo, spawn points for weapons and gadgets, the ability to tweak the time of day, and more. Other features include a new Thruster ability for your character, provided you’re level 6 in all abilities, and a new multiplayer mode called “Vehicle Tag”.

The premium version will run you 560 Microsoft Points, and will get you two new vehicles, the Agency ATV and Squad Chopper, five new weapons and gadgets such as the Mass Driver, Portable Launch Pads, Stickler Grenades, Thrusters, and Mags on characters. You’ll also get two new avatar awards and ten new achievements, adding up to 250 gamerscore.

Microsoft didn’t reveal a release date for the DLC, but I’m sure they’ll start talking about it soon enough. Stay tuned!

   Hi i bought the DLC toy box for 560 microsoft points only to be let down by it. The download crashes my crackdown 2 game everytime i go to load a game. This has really upset me £35.00 for a game and another £17.50 for microsoft points for the premium toy box DLC to crash my xbox. It always crashes at the loading screen, i’ve cleared my cache i’ve installed it to the hardrive i’ve tried re-downloading it but it still doesn’t work, i’ve had to delete it from my hardrive to actually play the game normally again. Whats happened?

   Usually clearing the cache and/or re-downloading the content will do the trick, not sure why it isn’t working for you. Are you playing off a hard-drive install, and if so, have you tried uninstalling that and playing straight off the disc? Alternatively if you’re playing on a disc, try installing. Not sure if that would help any, but it’s something to try. If that doesn’t work (or you can’t/don’t want to bother), the best thing to do would be to contact Xbox Support.    Thanks pal i’ve tried the cache thing and im not the only one pal you should see all the comments on youtube about it not working for people.

   I’ve seen the forum about the DLC and everybody is going nuts about it freezing in the loading section. Well I reckon ruffian will have a lot of hassle to deal with if this isn’t fixed soon :0
